Yes, it’s true. I am moving back to the West side of the USA. I’m not going back to California, my native State, but I am moving to Sedona, AZ. Did you read the blog post I wrote shortly after my visit there in January? Well, there was more to say that could not yet be spoken, as I was somewhat speechless myself.

When I hit that beautiful red rock valley in January my whole being soared. The sun was out and the red rocks were as spectacular as ever. I called my husband and asked, ‘What are we doing in Maryland?!” to which he responded, “I don’t know.”

Life moved on and events unfolded. Low and behold, my husband is staying in Maryland for now as he was offered a promotion just a few days after I returned from Sedona. Wha-wha-what? Talk about interesting timing.

When illness comes to visit, your feelings about yourself, about your financial welfare and sense of security must be confronted. In truth, money concerns plague all of us, wealthy or poor. We fantasize about how we’d spend it if we had more of it, worry about not having enough for a “rainy day” (feeling stupid that the rainy day has come and we didn’t save for it!), and afraid of losing what we do have. When it comes to this currency, we have very little breathing room.

Money is a currency. The root word of currency is current. Current is all about flow. In our world, money represents a flow in and out in exchange for goods or services bought or sold. IT is as simple as that.

Yet, we live at the mercy of the equations that we have constructed, turning money into statements about personal worth, collapsing time with our earning potential, and the like…

When I became ill with Crohn’s symptoms – and during each subsequent flare-up – I made it a point to ask:

“Where am I out of alignment in my life?”
“Where is the imbalance and what do I need to adjust?”

I had a sense that what happened in my body was, at least to some degree, an indicator that something was amiss within me.
